Durham, NC - Bronto Software, the leading marketing platform for retailers and other commerce-focused companies, today announced that it has received the NCTA 21 Software Company of the Year Award from the North Carolina Technology Association at its annual gala event.

One of North Carolina's most prestigious business awards, the annual NCTA 21 Awards recognize outstanding contributions that information technology companies and individuals have made over the past year to the industry, community and state. Winners in 21 categories were announced at the 21 Awards Gala on November 10 at the Sheraton Imperial, Research Triangle Park, NC, in front of a sell-out crowd of more than 800.

"Year after year we continue to see an increasingly higher level of excellence and innovation from the technology community in North Carolina," said Brooks Raiford, NCTA's President and CEO.

The Software Company of the Year Award is based on achievement of a milestone of measurable success over the last year, such as increased revenue, growth, and product recognition.

Bronto Software experienced accelerated growth in 2010 and 2011, surpassing 100 employees and doubling its office space. During this time, Bronto expanded its email marketing platform to include mobile and social campaigns as well as advanced marketing automation. Bronto has also recently received several accolades including Best Place to Work (Triangle Business Journal), Healthiest Company (Business Leader), as well as being a finalist for the 2011 SiiA CODiE Awards and American Business Award.

"Being named Software Company of the Year by the North Carolina Technology Association is a huge accomplishment," said Joe Colopy, CEO of Bronto Software. "We strive for great products, excellent customer service and happy employees, and we're honored to be recognized by the NCTA for what we've achieved."
