A massive sea of software salesmen floods New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center each January at the National Retail Federation’s BIG Show. The show serves as an exposition of the best of the best in retail software and technology. Fittingly, the tech vendors that spend big bucks to exhibit there send the best of their best sales reps and product managers to work the floor. For weeks prior to the show, they rehearse and refine their pitches and proofs until convinced they could sell oceanfront property in Arizona.
