For some, alarm conversion may seem like a complex process rife with operational and organizational headaches, particularly if you have multiple locations nationally. Many retail security programs are structured as lease systems, where the retailer pays some sort of recurring monthly fee. When the contract is nearing expiration, the retailer can elect to renew or sever the contract, but they own nothing regardless of what they do.
