ABnote Global Appoints Uwe Ludwig As CEO Of International Business Unit

American Banknote Corporation ("ABnote"), a leading global provider of secure documents, issuance systems and related services, announced recently the appoinent of Uwe Ludwig of Düsseldorf, Germany as CEO of its newly formed International Business Unit. In its continuing focus to increase global penetration of its secure identity, payment and ticketing solutions, ABnote has strategically realigned its worldwide sales resources, under the guidance of Mr. Ludwig.

Ludwig 's extensive background in providing secure documents and solutions most recently includes Vice President of Sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa for LaserCard. Ludwig joined LaserCard upon its acquisition of Cards & More GmbH, an ID solution enterprise, and Challenge Card Design GmbH, a leading manufacturer of high quality specialty cards, each of which Ludwig had co-founded. Previously, he served as the Business Development Manager for NISCA Card Printers in Europe.

In his new role, Uwe Ludwig will lead ABnote's international sales organization in promoting the breadth and depth of secure solutions for both plastic and paper documents and solutions. Included in these offerings will be contact, contactless and dual interface National Identity cards, driver's licenses, banking cards, transportation cards, high security paper products such as machine readable and electronic passports, bonds and vital records, along with a host of secure service offerings including ABnote's ABNterprise enrollment and issuance service, and a range of certified TSM and NFC solutions and services.
