Acuative, a leading provider of network and IT integration services and technology solutions, announced recently that Chad Mead has joined Acuative as COO.  In his role, Mead will be responsible for the operational and strategic leadership of Acuative’s entire operations organization, including technical services, infrastructure management, network monitoring, service delivery/project management, field service, logistics/materials management, product development, IT/IS, and business process groups.

“Acuative’s service and solution offerings are expanding and we are thrilled that Mr. Mead will bring his experience, knowledge, and leadership to our organization,” states Vince Sciarra, CEO. “It is a testament to our current growth that we can recruit someone of his caliber with such extensive experience and in-depth understanding of global operations. He will join our executive leadership team of Rich Ackerman, president and Patrick Danna, chief financial officer.”

Prior to joining Acuative, Mead was vice president and global service operations leader at Cargill in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was responsible for overseeing Cargill's process, data, information and technology in addition to forming the Technology, Governance, Risk and Controls (TGRC) organization.  Under his leadership, the TGRC team worked to significantly improve Cargill's risk and controls environment, including establishing enterprise-wide risk and control strategy, policies, metrics, change management, and decision rights related to information technology security.

Before Cargill, Mead was the global head of infrastructure security at JPMorgan Chase & Co. He was responsible for operations, engineering, support, regulatory and business functions, including responsibility for mainframe, large mid-range, distributed, network, client and data protection. Mead managed staff and facilities in England, India, China, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Germany, and Africa.  Due to the success of his team, Network World Magazine named him one of the 50 most powerful people in networking in 2006, along with Bill Gates and Larry Ellison.   He has also held multiple senior technology risk and controls positions at Bank One, TEK systems and CompuServe.

Mead is based at Acuative’s Global Technology Center in Strongsville, Ohio.

“I'm looking forward to continuing to grow Acuative based upon the strong foundation that has already been built,” said Mr. Mead. “Acuative is a leader in this space and I’m inspired to make Acuative’s operations even more competitive, expanding our offerings to support further growth of the company and creating an even bigger impact in solving the challenges faced by our customers."
