At the award ceremonies at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas, Jim Vogel, Director of Audit Services for Acuitive Solutions (left) accepted the award on behalf of the three companies from Dave Malenfant, Vice President Global Supply Chain, Alcon Labs (right). The competition recognizes best practices and outstanding achievements in global supply chain execution.
A prestigious panel of judges led by Yossi Sheffi, Director of MIT's Engineering Systems Division and the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics commented, "This entry stood out due to the complexity and mitigation backed up with specific results. They took a unique approach to improving ocean audit capabilities through the integration of patent pending technology into the systems of its existing third party logistics provider. The end results were a seamless, transparent and highly accurate automated prepayment audit process that significantly improved operations due to greater shipping and delivery certainty."
