AMF’s Bowling Centers implemented a new payment processor to eliminate downtime and keep customers from walking away.

AMF Bowling Centers operates 276 locations across the United States, offering bowling, full-service bars, snack bars, restaurants, and even a golf course and banquet facility. The $400 million company also has go-karts, miniature golf, batting cages, and a skating rink at various facilities. Many locations are routinely open until 1 or 2 in the morning, and AMF began experiencing a lot of downtime and outages with its payment processing in the evenings. “Many of these issues occurred in the evenings and on weekends, when we are at our busiest,” said Carol Morrow, manager of AMF’s POS operations group.
