Banks And Retail Merchants Worldwide Leverage GoldenGate Solutions For Dual-Site Transaction Processing And High Availability

GoldenGate D24 for the ACI BASE24 system, the payment processing platform of choice for ATM and point-of-sale (POS) networks worldwide, was developed by GoldenGate and certified by ACI Worldwide, a strategic technical and channel partner of GoldenGate.

Today, banks and retail merchants are experiencing more stringent requirements around the high availability of their transaction processing and payment systems. Dual-site or "active-active" is a specific implementation where two systems process transactions simultaneously, while ensuring both are fully synchronized. Sharing the processing load across two systems provides increased capacity and therefore optimal performance during peak times, thus maintaining the highest levels of availability. Additionally, the GoldenGate solution in a dual-site processing environment protects transactional data, enabling the network to continue to function without interruption even if one of the systems is affected by a planned or unplanned outage.

The GoldenGate D24 product allows bi-directional synchronization providing the highest level of availability and immediate failover in the event of an outage. Additionally, the GoldenGate solution can be deployed without significant BASE24 configuration and D24 provides advantages in the area of settlement processing and other key business operations for banks and POS merchants.
