Keith Foods, the eighth-largest foodservice distributor in the U.S., has signed a contract to purchase and deploy Retalix Power Sell and Power Net software applications.
Ben E. Keith Foods supplies a full line of produce, frozen foods, meats, dry groceries, refrigerated foods, paper goods, equipment and supplies to restaurants, hospitals, schools, nursing homes and other institutions.
Retalix Power Sell is a PC-based remote sales force automation (SFA) application that's become the leading tool of choice among distribution sales representatives (DSRs) in the foodservice industry. It will enable Ben E. Keith's approximately 500 DSRs to meet the evermore sophisticated needs of their customers and be even more consultative in the field, sharing sales and product information and entering and transmitting orders from their laptop PCs.
Retalix Power Net is a Web-based customer self-service portal that is deployed by distributors that want their customers to be able to view their account information and create orders online at their convenience. It is designed to increase customer service levels, decrease service costs and increase average order size.
