Big Apple Worldwide Subsidiary Revolutionizes Wallcovering Industry In 2007
The kiosks are being placed in major paint, wallcovering and home improvement retail outlets, and customers can purchase or order samples of wallcovering from numerous manufacturers directly from the kiosks. Big Apple Wallcovering, Inc. will become the exclusive seller of wallcoverings for retailers where kiosks are installed. Further discussions with several more major retailers will continue to build upon that momentum. The retailers that have expressed strong interest or have signed up for a pilot program manage over 18,000 retail locations and are very well known names in the home improvement and décor markets.
Big Apple Wallcovering continues to increase its specifications to supply wallcovering for various sources including, among others, the Trump hotels and casinos, the Baymont Inn & Suites luxury hotel in Mackinaw City, Michigan, the Helmsley Hotels, Bloomingdale's Department stores, the high-rise Waterford House condominium in Virginia and the retrofitting program for U.S. Navy ships.
"When you have an opportunity to revolutionize an industry, you take it. Many of the retailers that we now have agreements with previously did not sell wallcovering in their stores, and we have seized the opportunity to fill that niche. Other retailers who currently sell wallcovering are expressing great interest in the 'No More Books' kiosks because of the space that they can save and the ease with which customers can place orders. We have a very capable fulfillment company handling the shipment of samples and the production and installation of the kiosks, and the rollout is going remarkably well," stated Neal Jablon, CEO and President of Big Apple Worldwide, Inc.
Big Apple Worldwide's subsidiary, Big Apple Travel, Inc., has also enjoyed a successful year with the opening of satellite locations throughout the U.S. to better capitalize on local leisure and business travel. It gave back to the community by becoming the exclusive international travel agency of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Northern Florida, and it set up a travel fund enabling visitors to donate directly to the Foundation.
