Cummins-Allison Introduces New Multi-Pocket Sorter With 39 Percent Faster Processing In 64 Percent Less Space

Cummins-Allison, the leading innovator and provider of currency and coin handling solutions, recently introduced the JetScan iFX i400 multi-pocket sorter. Configurable from three to nine pockets in the same compact space, the JetScan iFX i400 revolutionizes high-speed currency sorting.

The JetScan iFX i400 utilizes breakthrough imaging technology that provides outstanding read rates while processing currency at 1,000 notes per minute, resulting in higher throughput at a 39 percent faster speed than the closest competitive unit.

The i400 is the most flexible and user-configurable multi-pocket sorter on the market. From a base unit of three pockets, additional 2-pocket modules can be added to create 5-pocket, 7-pocket or 9-pocket systems, now or expandable in the future. The unique design can create up to 9 pockets in a space-saving vertical configuration, effectively providing a high-volume, multi-pocket sorter in a footprint barely larger than a desktop sorter.

"This really opens up the possibilities where space is a premium in any number of applications," says Curtis Hallowell, Vice President Product Management at Cummins-Allison. "Bank branches can save thousands by recycling currency and processing large deposits or night drops. Gaming properties can quickly process currency in a single pass, whether in cages, count rooms or employee banks. Even those who might process moderate amounts of cash such as retailers, vending companies and transit firms can gain high-speed productivity in a small space at an affordable price."

Flexibility is a hallmark of the iFX i400, from initial pocket configuration to user-customizable operating software to accommodate workflows or different processing operations. Operating modes or pocket configurations can be changed with the touch of a button using an intuitive, touch-screen display.

"Training is simplified, navigation is easy and daily operations are effortless," notes Hallowell. "Making it easy for the operators means better productivity."

The JetScan iFX i400 is part of a family of JetScan iFX products that bring efficiency throughout a facility. Advanced counterfeit detection, the ability to capture serial numbers from every note for tracking, even check and currency processing on the same machine are all available features found within the JetScan iFX product offering.

The JetScan iFX i400 is truly a revolution in technology, processing and price making high-speed multi-pocket currency processing possible at virtually any organization.
