Dedicated Micros Reports Record ASIS Driven By Spotlight On Closed IPTV

ASIS

CCTV specialist Dedicated Micros, Inc. - part of AD Group - announces that the recent ASIS show in Dallas, Texas, was its most successful to date both in terms of visitors and, in particular, the quality of leads it generated, with the number of qualified sales inquires growing by 10%. The star of ASIS from Dedicated Micros' point of view was undoubtedly its Closed IPTV deterministic IP video product solution which was very much the focal point of its booth and, crucially, received a prestigious ASIS Accolades Award.

Taking its cue from the simplicity and security of a traditional CCTV installation, Patent-Pending, Closed IPTV uses a completely deterministic set-up which automatically maps the IP camera to the port on DM's Layer 3 Enhanced CCTV Switch and in turn, the corresponding camera input number on the hybrid DVR/NVR. This approach, combined with DM's unique implementation of secure modes means that when it comes to IP video, complete security of the IP endpoints can be achieved with a single click preventing hacking attacks. Dedicated Micros is currently rolling out Closed IPTV in a number of product lines with one of the first being a version of the hybrid SD Advanced DVR/NVR.

Said Mike Newton, the newly appointed President of Dedicated Micros, Inc. and founder of Dedicated Micros and its parent company AD Group: "We were delighted with how ASIS 2010 went for us with the level of qualified leads up year-on-year. This was very much a landmark show for the business in a number of respects. We were able to promote our Closed IPTV capability for the first time, which was recognized with a prestigious ASIS Accolades award for its implementation in our SD Advanced, and introduce our customers to the new executive team at Dedicated Micros, Inc. which I am now heading up.

"Undoubtedly, Closed IPTV was a big draw and those who saw the on-booth demonstration seemed to be impressed with its ability to enhance the practicality and security of IP video solutions. It is an appealing proposition both to security professionals and end users who may have have previously shied away from taking this route and also to experienced integrators looking to deploy segregated HD IP video networks. From the interest generated we anticipate being able to announce significant orders for this solution in the very near future and at a broader level this, upsurge in business, is an important marker that confidence is returning to the wider economy."
