Demand Forecasting And Simulation As A Service (SAAS)

We are pleased to announce the introduction of our advanced Demand Forecasting and simulation product as a service (SAAS), the new service takes into account many factors such as pricing and promotions in the forecast.

By offering this leading edge technology as a service we have greatly reduced the cost of ownership bringing it within reach of the lower tiers of retail, while being robust enough to handle even the largest tier 1 retailer.

Through SAAS licensing, businesses experience lower up-front costs, reliable support, no maintenance costs and greater control over technology budgets, factors that are highly valued during these challenging economic times.

The new service calculates SKU level forecasts by day, week or monthly periods and at any level of the location hierarchy (store, store group, and banner level), Automatic tracking of Forecast accuracy and the use of advanced techniques to address all types of item demand– staples goods, seasonal items, promotions, new items and slow-movers.

The self learning technology identifies and uses individual promotional activity in the forecast process, while also integrating regular pricing and casual events to greatly enhance projections, giving insight into and improving understanding of the impact of prices and offers on demand, enabling Sales and Marketing decisions to be accounted for in the sales forecast. The system imposes no limit on the start or duration of the forecast horizon.

Additionally, we also offer a complete portfolio of complimentary products and services, including added analytics and optimization tools. Key to a successful implementation of the SAAS model is the deployment of real time integration with a customer's own applications. In conjunction with our strategic partners we can provide a complete service to our customers with no large up-front license payments or long-term contracts.

This approach to the use of technology enables retailers to integrate their supply chain planning across disparate functions, reducing waste and improving service.

One of the other advantages of the Retail Express solutions is the speed of implementation, with clients typically up and running in a matter of two to three months, whilst providing a customer specific and highly flexible solution, not a one-size-fits-all.

Retail Express's dual model approach enables retailers to try the technology as a service then move it within their firewall should they desire with no loss of effort.
