Destination XL Group, Inc. Celebrates Milestone Achievement with 100 Store Locations

Canton, MA (PRWEB) - Destination XL Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: DXLG), the leading retailer of men's XL apparel, announced that it is set to reach a new milestone in the company’s history, opening its 100th Destination XL® (DXL®) superstore. Destination XL is a new one-stop shop catering to the fashion needs and lifestyles of bigger guys. Among the newest locations, all of which opened over the past month, are: Portland, OR; Henderson, NV; Palm Desert, CA; Burlington, VT; Humble, TX; Houston, TX; Escondido, CA; and Billings, MT.

“The DXL store was built with the bigger guy in mind and directly addresses needs he's expressed through customer feedback and focus groups. The success of these stores is a testament to the brand and the loyalty of our customers. In 2010, we opened our first DXL store in Schaumburg, IL and now we’re thrilled to announce the opening of our 100th store in our 36th state," says David Levin, President and CEO of DXLG. The company expects to continue its rapid rollout of DXL stores until 2016, when it expects to have over 225 stores open nationwide.

The DXL store is built just for men, with a more spacious environment, including wider aisles and dressing rooms double the size of a standard department store; the store also offers exceptional service, including in-store tailoring to ensure the perfect fit. "After experiencing the store, over 90% of customers say they’ll return to shop Destination XL again, so we are optimistic that customers will be just as receptive to these new locations,” says Levin. Customers can also access an even greater selection on DestinationXL.com, or on the go from their smartphones. They can also select to have online purchases shipped to a local DXL store for free, or verify if a product is in stock at their local store.

Until now, bigger guys have been forced to shop at department stores that carry a limited selection in their size. Now, these men can purchase fashionable clothing that fits, making Destination XL a much-needed addition to the marketplace.

Destination XL offers more than 100 brands, from private labels to luxury brands including Cutter & Buck, Tommy Hilfiger and TailorByrd. Also available in XL sizes exclusively at Destination XL are brands such as Paul & Shark, Michael Kors and Rochester Black. The DXL store can outfit its customers from head to toe, with sizes starting at XL or 38” waist, as well as tall sizes, plus shoes in sizes 10-16.

In celebration of the 100th store, customers who make a purchase today, February 4th, 2014 at any DXL store or at DestinationXL.com will receive 100 bonus points. Members of the XL Rewards Club earn 5% back in Rewards certificates, along with added benefits such as free shipping, basic alterations, and a birthday bonus, among others. Additionally, customers are encouraged to follow Destination XL on Facebook and Twitter this week to be entered to win one of 100 prizes.
