DIGIOP Announces The Release Of DIGIOP ELEMENTS 8.0 Software

Video management solutions that deliver enhanced business intelligence
Anyone managing video surveillance spends more time than they want trying to create a story from their captured video and data intelligence. However, only through the combination of both video and data can the story clearly unfold. DIGIOP's vision is to develop a solution for its customers that more efficiently and effectively combines video, data, and more with a straightforward pricing model. DIGIOP ELEMENTS is a video-enhanced intelligence platform that seamlessly integrates video and data intelligence to provide a customizable, unified dashboard for the information needed to effectively manage a customer's business.
Most video management products don't have the flexibility to handle various forms of information simultaneously. "Our customers wanted more capabilities to combine their business data and the video relating to the events they capture," said Rich Mellott, President of DIGIOP. "It is such a laborious task to find the specific video frame of interest, and we wanted to provide a solution that breaks the mold of surveillance and expands into a broader business intelligence solution by using the customer's unique data."
The DIGIOP ELEMENTS platform combines data and video so clients can, in real-time, identify behavioral patterns that connect to transactional data. Mellott continued, "We are differentiated from our competition by our ability to integrate video and data intelligence into a unified dashboard. This brings the information you need to the forefront to effectively manage your business. It's now easier for customers to focus on leveraging their information rather than trying to make sense of data without video."
With DIGIOP ELEMENTS, DIGIOP has decided to break the mold. A no-recurring fee-based solution, which includes local web-based management of the customer's system or multi-site management in the cloud at no additional cost, is unparalleled in the industry. This leaves customers with peace of mind about their software purchase. DIGIOP Elements allows customers to add or remove video or data channels without the need to pay for more software fees.
DIGIOP ELEMENTS consists of four powerful software components: DIGIOP Connect, DIGIOP Control, DIGIOP Data, and DIGIOP Core. Together, these elements provide the foundation for a revolutionary tool to manage business intelligence.
DIGIOP Connect is a unified dashboard that presents both video and data on a single interface to provide a comprehensive understanding of what's going on in a business. DIGIOP Connect features powerful search tools such as thumbnail search, timeline search, replay search, digital zoom, and tours, allowing customers to quickly locate, save and export critical video and data intelligence.
DIGIOP Control is web-based portal for video and data management that allows administrators to easily configure systems, cameras, users and permissions across single or multi-site enterprises.
DIGIOP Data is data management software that integrates information from back office systems and devices with video recorded by DIGIOP Core, resulting in synchronous streams of information that can be reviewed with DIGIOP Connect. From retail-focused applications like Point-of-Sale (POS) systems to Time & Attendance systems at schools or even Electronic Access Control systems at healthcare facilities, DIGIOP Data creates the link between the video and data that brings real power to the cameras in a facility.
DIGIOP Core is an extensible video recording platform that provides real-time recording of analog and IP cameras. The DIGIOP Core software can be configured to display live video as it's recorded, or to run in the background and archive video data for display using DIGIOP Connect.
The DIGIOP ELEMENTS software platform is available as both a software only package so customers can install it on a dedicated server or pre-installed on DIGIOP's new line of purpose-built hybrid DVRs and NVRs.

On March 7, 2011 DIGIOP was acquired by Observint Technologies, an investor group led by The Carlyle Group, a global alternative asset manager. "Carlyle's acquisition of DIGIOP is a testament to the value of our technology, our people, our partnerships, and our ability to compete in the fast-growing IP security industry," said Rich Mellott, President of DIGIOP. "The capital and expertise that this investment team offers will enable us to expand our software development efforts, and deliver even more value and support to our customers."
