DigiPoS Announces The Retail Blade Quantum
Burlington, Ontario - DigiPoS announces the latest technology advancement in its line of Retail Blade point of sale systems, the Retail Blade Quantum. This new generation of Retail Blade capitalizes on the latest processing power, the Intel® Atom™, building on its line of award-winning systems, coupled with a green footprint.
The Retail Blade Quantum delivers the next generation of processing power; allowing for the true benefi ts of a blade based system: easy upgrade. This is done by sliding out the older Retail Blade motherboard and sliding in the new one in seconds, all without the need for tools, technicians and removing connected devices.
The Retail Blade Quantum offers new features such as dual RAID and dual display capabilities. It is backward compatible with existing hosts, actualizing the reduced total cost of ownership in the future-proofed design of the system that DigiPoS exclusively manufactures. The Retail Blade with the low powered, high functioning Atom chipset brings another system into the DigiPoS range of Carbon Down solutions aimed at signifi cantly lowering the cost to power systems. Following in the footsteps of the DigiPoS Retail Core and Dynamic Blade, the Quantum pulls only 33 watts of power to operate, less than a standard light bulb.
The Retail Blade Quantum system also delivers an improved heat dissipation feature and is equipped with a thermal warning alarm, along with a new, fan-less power supply. This benefi ts retailers with problems relating to heat, dust and dirt which can reduce the overall quality and performance of a system. The new Disk on Module flash memory function allows for easy system diagnostics to monitor health and help prevent failures.
