Direct Source is preferred partner for deployment of Aava’s Intel-powered mPOS tablets

Direct Source, a tier-one retail technology consultant and solutions provider, and Aava Mobile are bringing EMV-ready mobile point of sale (mPOS) solutions to retailers through a new partnership.

Based in Finland, Aava Mobile manufactures rugged handheld and tablet devices designed to simplify mobile transactions and provide retailers with insight into business and customer data. Direct Source will be the preferred Aava Mobile integration partner in North America for Aava based mPOS solutions with Verifone payment.

The Inari5 handheld from Aava Mobile is integrated with Verifone’s device- and OS-agnostic e355 mPOS terminal. Combining the Inari5 with Verifone technology helps retailers easily integrate new mPOS solutions with legacy back-end systems to access the information needed to deliver quality customer service within the store.

The tablet is equipped with a payment terminal and scanner, and is ruggedized to stand up to daily working retail environments. Powered by the Intel® Atom™ quadcore processor, it is the smallest mobile device that can run Microsoft Windows Embedded 8.1 and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise.
