GameStop And Twitch Team Up To Improve Customer Experience

GameStop is partnering with Twitch, world’s leading video platform and community for gamers, bringing the annual EXPO to all gaming fans through live broadcast, allowing viewers to experience the excitement of new, innovative games and hear announcements from the industry’s top developers.
Twitch is bringing the jam-packed day of gaming competitions, latest news, speeches from leading developers and more to gamers all across the U.S. by streaming live coverage of the conference through their Xbox One, PlayStation 4, online at www.Twitch.tv/GameStop and with the Twitch app on their mobile device, fans can enjoy everything the EXPO offers right on their screen.
“With its ability to reach more than 45 million unique viewers in its gamer-focused community, Twitch is the premier live video platform and we are happy to partner with them to bring the excitement of our EXPO to gamers that can’t attend the show,” said Bob Puzon, senior vice president of merchandising at GameStop.
For the third year in a row, GameStop is hosting their EXPO 2014 for the first time in Anaheim, California on September 10, giving gamers a full day to test and enjoy newly-developed, soon-to-be released video games and try out new consoles, view never been seen footage, and get insider tips on favorite games straight from developers such as, Microsoft, Sony Computer Entertainment of America, Warner Bros., Electronic Arts, and more. Attendees can visit over 80 booths of the top video game publishers, console and tablet developers, and game accessory suppliers, with a chance to enter to win prizes and meet with special celebrities at their favorite vendors. VIP admissions have access to special events the day before the event and early admittance to the show, entry into the VIP lounge, view gaming tournaments, tune into panel discussions among the biggest developers in the gaming industry, and obtain a bag of gaming rewards. VIP PLUS members enjoy all of the VIP perks plus the opportunity to “first in line” at all major booths. For students that cannot make the morning section of the EXPO, a discounted $20 pass is available on-site from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. Just by being present at the GameStop EXPO 2014, every attendee is automatically entered to win valuable prizes such as, smart phones, tablets, gift cards, electronics and flat screen TVs.
