Genesco Implements Vision Solution

Jesta I.S. Inc., a leading supplier of business solutions to the apparel, footwear and soft goods industries, announced that Genesco Inc., a leading retailer and wholesaler of branded footwear, has recently decided to upgrade to Vision Merchandising 7.3 for its supply chain software solution. Designed for the specific challenges of style-managed industries, the Vision Solution suite, from merchandising to supply chain collaboration, helps retailers optimize their performance and make strategic decisions based on accurate, real-time information.

Genesco has been a Vision Merchandising customer since the spring of 1998 when the company had fewer than 500 stores. In five short years, the company has more than doubled in size to a 1,000 plus stores while using Vision Merchandising. The flexible software solution has supported the company's growth.

To date, Genesco has made full use of the system's purchase order, distribution, price management, stock ledger, and robust replenishment modules to merchandise their stores. Once the upgrade to Vision Merchandising 7.3 has been completed Genesco will utilize the additional functionality of pre-pack and multiple warehouse integration. A further advantage for the company is the fully integrated WMS API that Jesta offers. "The decision to extend our agreement with Jesta I.S. was one driven by the new functionality version 7.3 provided that we needed. The implementation of Vision Merchandising version 7.3 will continue the company's seamless upgrade path and will benefit Genesco by enhancing product flow through the supply chain.
