Giant Eagle Launches Free Mobile App

Giant Eagle is connecting shoppers to all of the grocer’s services including Giant Eagle shopping, Fuel Perks, and Pharmacy, with new mobile app, allowing customers to “Save money, Save time. At home or on-the-go.”
By downloading the free Giant Eagle Advantage App on their smartphone, customers have access to many in-store features. Users can view weekly sale offers and add items directly to their digital shopping list— conveniently created with the app. Favorite items of past purchases can be added to their current list, as the app allows for users to review past shopping trip lists, costs, and savings. With eOffers available on the mobile app, customers no longer need to provide cashiers with the store’s printed coupons—all of the digital coupons can be “clipped” onto their advantage card and scanned at checkout. By registering the Giant Eagle Advantage Card to the digital version through the app, shoppers can now have their card right on hand at all times, eliminating the need to search for their card at transaction and saving the cashier time from having to look up information.
With the app, users are presented with monthly deals at their current GetGo location, and gas price comparisons vs. other locations. Users have the ability to check the status on their fuelperks, view savings offered in the gas store with the Giant Eagle Advantage Card, and track their progress toward a free beverage on their GetGo Beverage Club balance.
The Giant Eagle Pharmacy App enables customers to refill prescriptions quickly and effortlessly with the simple tap of the finger. Prescriptions can be easily transferred by scanning or entering prescriptions. The app alerts users of medication reminders by text and push notifications. Information and news involving Giant Eagle Pharmacy services, such as immunizations offered, home delivery, generic brands, exclusive savings, along with store hours and contact number for user’s local store are provided through the app. “Making sure that Giant Eagle® customers have convenient access to their prescriptions has always been a priority.
