Global Bay Announces Apple Device Support For Its Inventory Management Software Offering

Allows Retailers to Leverage Apple Devices to Help Streamline Critical In-Store Operations

NRF Booth #1978 – Global Bay Mobile Technologies, a leading provider of next-generation mobile retail software, today announced Apple (iOS4) support for their popular Inventory Management module.

As part of the Global Bay Retail Suite, the Inventory Management module has already been widely deployed in the marketplace by retailers including Timberland, Golfsmith and Crocs on the Windows Mobile Platform.

The Apple-based Global Bay Inventory Management solution is unique in that it offers both an ‘online' connected solution or a batch ‘off-line' solution. The back-end agnostic Global Bay offering integrates with popular inventory management and POS systems such as Oracle, Epicor, SAP, Island Pacific and Raymark, and allows retailers to leverage their previous investments, while enjoying the sophistication and intuitiveness of Apple-based devices.

"The increasing availability of peripherals such as bar code scanners, printers and device security for Apple iOS devices coupled with the overall ease of use of Apple offers a new option for in-store mobility for today's retailers," said Sandeep Bhanote, CEO of Global Bay. "While we have seen Apple Mobile Point of Sale (mPOS) in Apple's stores and among several of our current customers, we believe that we are the first to offer Inventory Management on the Apple Platform."

Global Bay's Apple-based Inventory Management solution will debut at the NRF (National Retail Federation) 100th Annual Convention & EXPO on January 10th, 2011 in New York City at Global Bay booth #1978. An online demo of the solution can be found at www.globalbay.com/apple.
