The stresses of the economy create more pressure than ever on retailers to deliver a superior customer experience throughout the entire transaction. Far beyond relying on a limited number of floor personnel and static signage to deliver the sales message or complete the sale, 21st-century retailers must reach their customers through technology as well. Simply put, retailers should think about their solutions in a more holistic way to meet the changing dynamics of the retail transaction.
The integration of all retail solutions — POS, in-store digital media, digital signage, and kiosks — has never been more important, as consumers are becoming more reliant on technology for their shopping experiences. Nor have there been more ways for retailers to provide a more seamless transition from browsing to buying, using smart/interactive media.
