Kiosk: PFU Systems Introduces MEDIASTAFF DS Digital Signage Kiosk

PFU Systems announced the availability of the first in its line of information kiosk and digital signage products. The MEDIASTAFF DS is a small kiosk designed for countertop or wall mount applications. It is built around PFU Systems' successful Media Engine Single Board Computer (SBC). The Media Engine was developed for the embedded computing market with their requirements for quality, reliability, and longevity.

"The MEDIASTAFF DS provides our customers with an inexpensive way to deploy digital signage or information kiosks with high performance video and sound." stated James Payne, PFU Systems' Marketing Manager. "PFU Systems' MEDIASTAFF DS joins the performance of the Media Engine SBC with an 8.4 inch LCD, touch screen, and speakers for an inexpensive wait warping or countertop information deployment."

The PFU Systems Media Engine at the heart of the MEDIASTAFF DS uses a 520 MHz PXA270 and a 2700G Multimedia Accelerator running Windows CE to achieve full motion video and excellent sound in a low cost low profile solution. The MEDIASTAFF DS provides a number of additional interfaces, including 4 USB ports and 10/100Base-T Ethernet, to fit a wide variety of customer facing projects.

The MEDIASTAFF DS is available in a variety of face plate colors and mounting options. PFU Systems' Product Design and Manufacturing Services (ProDeS) is prepared to meet customer's specific enclosure customization requirements for volume orders. The MEDIASTAFF DS is making its debut at the KioskCom Self Service Expo at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City October 23 & 24. Visit us at booth 220.
