Lidl Upgrades To Latest Version Of GK SOFTWARE AG

GK SOFTWARE AG has announced that long time customer Lidl has selected to upgrade to the latest version of GK/Retail. GK SOFTWARE AG is supplying software to manage the Point of Sale and back office functions in over 7,000 stores across Europe. The project also includes the implementation of enterprise components that allow for the centralized management of store technology and data. Since 1990 Lidl has been using a DOS-based version of GK SOFTWARE AG's POS software. This legacy solution is now in the process of being replaced by the modern Java-based software, GK/Retail.
