Loss Prevention: ADT Launches New Wide-Exit Detection System For Loss Prevention And Data Collection
ADT Security Services, a part of Tyco Fire & Security, recently launched a new wide-exit detection system allowing retailers with wide or multiple exits to detect anti-theft alarms and collect operational data. The new system helps retailers to deter and detect theft and integrates with other data collection devices allowing end-users to improve overall operations.
The Sensormatic UltraExit AMS-1121 Detection System provides the retailer with up to 7 feet 10 inches or 2.4 meters of coverage between pedestals while providing one of the highest levels of theft deterrence available. The new exit detection system blends with store design while maximizing customer flow. It provides both audible and visual anti-theft alarms and can be integrated with other operational devices such as people counting to provide retailers with additional store operations data.
"This offers retailers with wide or multiple exits a better way to deter theft and lower costs while preserving store aesthetics," said Jeffrey Bean, vice president ADT Retail Sales and Operations. "It can also integrate with other data collection devices that can give the retailers a better picture of operational trends and help to raise store profitability."
The new exit system is compatible with Sensormatic SmartEAS Solutions, offered by ADT, which is an integrated family of products providing efficient and effective loss prevention and operational management for retailers with stores in multiple locations.
The UltraExit system offers other benefits that include compatibility with all Sensormatic hard tags and a selection of bases and pedestals, including high impact plastic and stainless steel, to fit each store design.
