Loss Prevention: LPQ Exam Available April 22
The Loss Prevention Foundation is proud to announce that the exam for LPQualified (LPQ) certification will be available nationwide beginning April 22. The exam was designed by loss prevention professionals, as well as, educators from loss prevention university programs and was approved by the Foundation's Exam Committee. The entire exam development was overseen by Knapp & Associates, a certification consulting organization.
The exam, which is composed of one hundred (100) multiple choice questions, is based largely on the LPQ courseware previously released by the Foundation. The LPQ exam will test an individuals understanding of general retail concepts, business practices, as well as, basic loss prevention concepts. Any individual who passes the exam will receive an LPQ certification and will be able to use the LPQ designation.
The LPQ exam will be administered by Comira on behalf of the Foundation. The LPQ exam will be available at Comira testing locations throughout the United States. The test will be available in six (6) week intervals throughout the year. The first interval will be April 22 through June 9. All individuals who are interested in taking the exam must first register with the Foundation, pay their fee and then schedule their date and location with Comira. Registration on the Foundation website will be available in early April and the cost of the LPQ exam will be $250.
