Payment processor ranks in top 5 percent for a fourth year

Recently, integrated payment processor, Mercury Payment Systems was named 2012 Best Channel Vendor for Payment Processing by Business Solutions Magazine (BSM) for the fourth year in a row.

Point-of-sale (POS) resellers surveyed by BSM gave Mercury an overall score of 4.54. Participants are asked to rate their technology vendor partners on a scale of 0 (worst) to 5 (best) in seven categories: service/support, channel friendly, channel program, product features, product reliability, product innovation, and adequate VAR margins.

"Mercury certainly earned its spot on this year's Business Solutions Magazine Best Channel Vendors list," said Sue Bresee, publisher of Business Solutions magazine. "Mercury rated exceptionally well overall in the Payment Processing category, but particularly high in the Service/Support and Product Reliability categories. Our survey results clearly show that Mercury has many satisfied resellers."

Best Channel Vendors are determined by a web-based survey conducted by Business Solutions magazine (BSM) in partnership with Penn State University.

"The response to our survey this year was excellent," continued Bresee. "We generated 10,833 votes from nearly 4,300 BSM reseller subscribers. The 2,437 survey responders make this one of the largest surveys of its kind."

The overall score was determined by dividing the cumulative score by the number of VAR subscribers who rated them. Scores are calculated by Penn State University and the BSM editorial staff to ensure statistical accuracy of the survey.
