If you've done any online shopping recently, chances are you've experienced a very consultative selling process, one that places user reviews and recommendations for complementary products within a few pixels of the "next" button on your shopping cart. Regardless of whether an online shopper makes a purchase or adds a review, there is a transaction that takes place, as the shopper has paid with their time and attention in exchange for all the data that helps to make their purchase (or nonpurchase) an informed one.
