New Gander Mountain Store Coming To Raleigh

Popular outdoors retailer to open eighth North Carolina location

Outdoors enthusiasts throughout the Triangle region of North Carolina will soon have a new opportunity to find great prices, selection and service when shopping for the best in gear and apparel. Gander Mountain is expanding the nation’s largest network of outdoor specialty stores with a new location in Raleigh, set to open in the spring of 2014. It will be the eighth Gander Mountain store in North Carolina, and the second in the Triangle region.

The Raleigh store will be located in the Northeast Raleigh Metro in an existing 50,700-square-foot space in the Triangle Plaza Shopping Center, at 6101 Capital Blvd. near the intersection of I-540 and Capital Blvd/U.S. Route 1.

Gander Mountain’s newest store will feature one of the largest selections of new and used firearms in North Carolina, together with the best selection of gear and accessories for hunting, fishing, camping, boating and archery. The store will offer an extensive selection of men’s and women’s active performance outdoor and casual apparel featuring exciting brands like The North Face, Columbia, Under Armour, GSX, Carhartt, Guide Series and Kühl, and a wide variety of men’s and women’s active footwear featuring brands like Asics, Merrell, Rocky, Reebok, Keen, Irish Setter, Teva, New Balance, Brooks, Patagonia, Timberland, LaCrosse, Itasca, Saucony and Salomon.

Customers will enjoy easy access to Gander Mountain’s unmatched selection of new and used firearms around the country, whether the firearms are located at other stores, in central distribution facilities or on Gander Mountain’s market-leading online store. Customers may order firearms and have access to all of Gander Mountain’s other terrific merchandise by using simple online order kiosks with easy delivery and pick-up at their favorite Gander Mountain store.

New stores will open in Dothan, AL, Albany, GA and Tampa, FL in the coming weeks. New stores have been announced for Avon, IN, and Arlington, TX, to open in 2014, and more new store announcements are expected soon.

Raleigh will be the eighth Gander Mountain location in North Carolina, joining existing stores in Fayetteville, Gastonia, Greensboro, Monroe, Mooresville, Morrisville (West Raleigh Metro) and Winston-Salem.
