Q&A: New Opportunities For Video Integration

Back in January, I wrote that while video held great potential to impact the retail business outside of the loss prevention department, the maturation and penetration of the technologies that would enable that impact had some catching up to do. I recently talked with industry veteran Barry Lawson, who is one of the marketing managers at Pelco, about the new business benefits afforded by integrated video. Lawson is sure to point out that loss prevention (LP) efforts remain the primary driver of video adoption in retail, but he's also eager to share examples of the cross-disciplinary business benefits afforded by new integrated video technologies.
