Opticon's LPN 1736 omni-directional scanner is one of the smallest hands-free scanners on the market and ideal in tight POS systems. With a footprint of just a mere 3" x 3" (9 square inches), the LPN 1736 can fit into the smallest of spots -- horizontal or vertical. The stand is completely adjustable and can be mounted to any surface. For scanning big and bulky items, the 1736 scanner can be easily removed from the stand and used as a handheld scanner.

The LPN 1736 laser scanner operates at 1000 scans per second. It has a concentrated 20-line scan pattern which provides a fast, "can't miss" scan so even the most inexperienced users can scan a barcode the first time, anytime. Additionally, the LPN 1736's AutoSense application automatically recognizes and decodes the popular bar code symbologies. However, if a particular application is required, it is still programmable and easily configurable to the specific requirements.
