AURES Technologies announces the launch of Poséo 5200, a new generation of POSLIGNE Retail PCs with even better performance capabilities for point of sale applications.
This new, highly compact and sturdy PC platform, designed principally for Retail applications, can be used both for "front office" operations such as cash desk management and "back office" work, including server functions.
Central Data Management
The new highly innovative HSD embedded proprietary software makes the Poséo 5200 the first Retail PC developed to incorporate automated, centralised dispatch of data by e-mail -for instance, to a retail Chain's IT Manager.
By consulting e-mails from each point of sale or department sent from one or more Poséo 5200 units, IT Managers (who are usually based at a Chain's Head Office) can keep abreast of key data relating to standard operation of all deployed systems : temperature levels, fan speeds, voltage levels, hard disk and network interface status, and so on.
This enables administrators to inspect the operational condition of IT resources at any time, no matter how many machines and sites are involved.
Control Screen located on the PC's front face
Each sales or service area equipped with Poséo 5200 hardware also has direct information about the operating status of its system or systems by means of a control screen located on the front face of the PC, enabling the same key operational data to be read off locally - instantly and accessibly.
Fully upgradable architecture
Poséo 5200 is fully upgradable, providing maximum flexibility to meet all subsequent requirements, using Celeron D, INTEL P4 or Core D Duo processors and up to 4GB of RAM.
Integrated RAID 0/1 Technology
The unit also features a RAID 0/1 controller card mounted directly onto the motherboard, plus rack-mounted hot-swappable SATA disk drives.
Multiple, highly ergonomic connections
Poséo 5200's high-end configuration provides 21 communication ports, offering a wealth of connection options for all the peripherals required for optimum operation of a cash desk and management centre.
