Prodigy, Optimus, Maximus Terminals Now Available With GSM Cellular Capability
Accu-Time Systems, Inc., a global manufacturer of workforce management, time and attendance, and security access products, recently announced a significant communication enhancement to its popular Global Series of Human Capital Management (HCM) terminals. The Maximus, Optimus and Prodigy terminals can now include GSM modems, thereby allowing them to be used virtually anywhere a cellular network is present. These potential locations include construction sites, temporary venues like seasonal festivals and sporting events, and places where wired or WiFi is not an option. The Maximus terminal can be used where conventional technologies cannot.
Designed to accommodate the Subscriber Identity Module Card (SIM card) of the local network, the Maximus can be transported and remounted at a new site without losing the connection or any data. The Global Series supports all popular reader technologies like Bar Code, Magnetic Stripe, Proximity (contactless smart cards) and Biometrics. The Series also provides a custom programming environment that enables a developer to select Java, Linux, UCS, Python or C++.
