Quantum Retail Names Tarik Taman As CEO

Quantum Retail Technology Inc. announced recently that Tarik Taman has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer. Taman brings more than 15 years of experience in global technology leadership, having managed business operations in the Americas, Asia Pacific, as well as Europe Middle East & Africa (EMEA).

"I look forward to using my experience to help Quantum mature from its present position as a supply chain point solution to the first next-generation enterprise demand and supply management platform," said Taman upon his new appointment.

Taman's career includes eight years with Oracle Corporation, and Retek Inc. where he most recently served as group vice president, EMEA of the Retail Business Unit. Having been at the forefront of Oracle's vertical acquisition strategy, he successfully merged Retek, Profitlogic & 360 Commerce into Oracle while growing revenue by several hundred percent and building operational teams in over 20 countries. Prior to the acquisition of Retek by Oracle, he served as vice president of sales for EMEA, and vice president of sales, Americas. Previously, Taman also held a sales management position at Lawson Software.

Taman has been the key driver in directly generating over $300M of software and consulting revenue, and has helped his customers manage transformational programs reaching into several billions of dollars in capital spend.
