Case Study: Reduce Shrink 40% With Specialized EAS Tags

Source: Innovative Retail Technologies
Is time on your side? If your cashiers are spending 20 seconds or more to remove an EAS (electronic article surveillance) tag, then it's safe to say that time isn't on your side. How can you improve this tedious and time-consuming process while reducing shrinkage? The obvious answer might be to eliminate the EAS tags altogether and ramp up your staff to monitor theft and reduce shrinkage. Seems easy, but this approach only masks the problem and increases operating costs. Dunham's Sports, a full-line sporting goods chain in the United States, employed a different approach altogether. It sought a specialty EAS tag specifically designed for golf clubs. Used with permission from Integrated Solutions for Retailers magazine
