Retailers know that 50% of all purchasing decisions are made in the aisle. At that point, consumers want answers. "How much does this cost? Does it come in a different color? Is it hard to assemble? What else do I need, and where do I find it?" Savvy retailers are turning to technology to provide information to their customers in a way that's engaging, compelling, and entertaining. Since employees just can't be everywhere at once, self-service devices are stepping in at the deli counter, in the aisles, and at the customer service desk. So, back to the question, what is the right in-store self-service device for retailers? One that is robust enough to support a variety of transactions, run complex video and graphics, will stand up to the rigors of a public environment, and have the ability to grow with the retail organization.
