Retalix Announces Keynote Speakers For Synergy 2009
Retalix, a global provider of software solutions for distributors and retailers, recently announced that Barry Shaked, Jerry Greenfield, Marcus Luttrell and Michael Sansolo will provide keynote presentations during Retalix's Synergy 2009 Conference and Expo, Nov. 8-11 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas. With the theme "ROI: Relationships. Opportunities. Innovation.," the conference is designed to help attendees learn how to better utilize current systems and exploit new technology to maximize their business performance now.
The keynote speakers include:
- Barry Shaked founded Retalix Ltd. in April 1982 and has served as President and CEO ever since. His outstanding entrepreneurial skill and clear business vision have made Retalix a leading provider of integrated enterprise-wide software solutions for the retail food and fuel industries worldwide. Shaked will give his annual keynote speech and explore how attendees can achieve their "ROI" from the conference. He'll also share Retalix's perspective on current industry trends and issues.
- Jerry Greenfield, who with his long-time friend and business partner Ben Cohen, orchestrated one of the most talked-about and least conventional success stories in American business. Co-founder of Ben & Jerry's Homemade, Inc., Greenfield has helped build a store-front venture into a $300M ice cream empire by turning social responsibility and creative management into strengths instead of weaknesses. In his presentation, he'll not only deliver a rousing tribute to America's entrepreneurial spirit and address the sense of fun that is his company's hallmark, but he'll also deliver free ice cream for all who attend
- Marcus Luttrell is author of 2007 #1 New York Times best-selling book, Lone Survivor, where he tells his harrowing true story of four Navy SEALs who journeyed into the mountainous border of Afghanistan and Pakistan on Operation Redwing. Luttrell will present firsthand his unparalleled motivational story of survival, and give a moving tribute to the friends and teammates who did not make it off the mountain.
- Michael Sansolo, well-known to attendees, is the long-time senior vice president of the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) and past editor-in-chief of Progressive Grocer. In his speech, "Winning in Tough Times," he will describe how the current economic crisis may be a once-in-a-generation opportunity to create new relationships, new opportunities and new business models in the food retail industry. His view that businesses have a chance of a lifetime to link to shoppers and trading partners by challenging their previous supply-chain and customer-relationship assumptions should be a highlight of the conference.
"Our goal for each attendee – as underscored by our Synergy 2009 theme – is to learn and take advantage of the things they can do today," said Ray Carlin, executive vice president at Retalix USA. "Barry, Jerry, Marcus and Michael will help us deliver on that objective by informing and inspiring our audience through their personal insights, trials and successes."
