Last year, Microsoft® worked with such notable retail organizations as Mattress Firm, DavidsTea and Simon Pearce. Based on discussions with these retailers and many more like them, here are the top three issues I see facing retailers in 2012:

  • #1 Building closer customer relationships
  • #2 Minimizing the cost of infrastructure
  • #3 Optimizing business processes

Accomplishing these three objectives will be challenging. However, advancements in technology such as cloud computing and mobility solutions for CRM are helping retailers like never before.
