Feature Story: PCI Council Provides Several New Initiatives To Improve Merchant Security

In our last article for Integrated Solutions For Retailers, titled "Getting PCI Compliant — What Merchants Need to Know in 2010," we discussed some of the many available resources and pending calendar dates merchants should keep in mind for enforcing strong payment controls and safeguarding their payment card data. This month, I'd like to focus on two new items the PCI Security Standards Council has added to its arsenal of resources for merchants to better protect their reputations, investors, and customers from the potential fallout that comes with a payment data breach. At the end, I'll go over the upcoming calendar of PCI events relevant to your company.
