Product Sheet: Site-Command Data Center

Site-Command is a distributed system which includes an onsite equipment package, remote data center, 24/7 monitoring, and professional services.

Site-Command was designed from the ground up with no constraints from legacy systems. The system embraces the latest, yet proven technologies available and leans heavily on accepted open architecture standards to ensure future scalability and ongoing system performance.

Utilizing a secure Internet connection, the Site-Command Data Center constantly verifies that the Controller and its peripheral sensors/controllers are performing correctly. Note that reliability is further enhanced because the system was designed to operate autonomously, and independently of outside control according to a preconfigured rule set. That rule set provides ongoing calendar schedule based HVAC control, lighting control and dynamic load control based on local site conditions. Local control is never compromised if the broadband connection is unavailable.

Connectivity
A VPN circuit provides connectivity between each remote CPG site and our Austin data center. That network connection will typically utilize existing customer network infrastructure. If no infrastructure is in place, or network sharing and bandwidth constraints are of mutual concern, Site Controls will install new circuits on site-by-site basis, dedicated to Site-Command use.

Data Security
Further enhancing system reliability, the Data Center archives all logged data for historical purposes; data security and system availability, are further ensured by a redundant server and storage array located offsite. Lastly, the Data Center servers utilize robust and proven software based on industry-leading open architecture solutions, including: Linux, Apache Tomcat, MySQL, J2EE and XML.
