Steinhoff International Chooses Core Solutions' CBX Software Platform

Core Solutions, a leading provider of global sourcing and extended supply chain automation solutions for the retail industry, recently announced that it has signed an agreement with Steinhoff International to implement CORE’s CBX software as the common platform to support the group’s global sourcing and direct import operations.

Steinhoff is the second largest European furniture and home goods retailer, sourcing from almost 2,000 suppliers in 12 countries. Retail brands include Conforama (across Europe), Harveys, Reid, Bensons, Bed Shed and Cargo (United Kingdom) and Freedom, Snooze and BayLeatherRepublic (Pacific Rim). The group was looking for a tool that would leverage the combined buying power of their brands to create efficiency, build scale and increase their profit margins.

The CBX platform will support the Steinhoff International Sourcing and Logistics (SISL) business unit, which acts as the interface between individual Steinhoff brands, their suppliers and logistic providers. CBX will help manage processes such as referencing new suppliers and products and managing customer and vendor orders, quality, shipment and payment information.

CORE will implement CBX5 for Steinhoff, the latest version of their software which is a cloud-enabled multi-tenant Software-as-a-Service solution, offering similar benefits to an enterprise system without the need for heavy investment in hardware and headcount.
