Q. What is the most common mistake retailers make when it comes to their marketing?

A. Many retailers have come to realize that social media marketing can be a very powerful tool to help monetize social and grow their businesses. Unfortunately, many organizations piece together various social commerce offering from different vendors. What might start as a simple initiative involving a single marketing product or desired feature often turns into a larger project requiring multiple disparate technologies. The end result is a sub-optimal solution in terms of business processes, marketing effectiveness, customer satisfaction, and ROI, taking more time and at a higher cost than would be required if the retailer simply invested up front in a single unified social commerce and customer loyalty platform.
