Q&A: Task Management On A Shoestring

Our recent State Of The Store Manager 2010 (July) indicated that labor budgets are down while store workloads are up. This is a perennial frustration for store managers in the new economy and one that adds heavily to the expensive burden of management-level turnover. But a host of new software and service providers are coming to market with solutions that, as the old adage goes, help store-level managers and associates work smarter, not harder. One such provider is Natural Insight, and I recently spoke with the company's CEO, Stefan Midford, about store execution management in the current economy.
