Garbage in, garbage out.

George Fuechsel, an early programmer with IBM, is credited with that phrase that's become a truism in the computer industry. The phrase serves as a constant reminder to us that results at the back end are only as good as the information and processes used on the front end.

That maxim is true, as well, in the LP industry and in the growing area of video analytics, which is heavily data-driven. Rephrasing Mr. Fuechsel's concept, the axiom for LP is "Data In, Garbage Out."
