UNSi Completes Acquisition Of Next-Gen Network Provider IPNetZone
Acquisition Strengthens Balance Sheet and Overall Growth Strategy
Lemont Furnace, PA: United Network Services, Inc. (UNSi), a leading provider of carrier/connectivity, managed services and professional services, today announced it has successfully completed its previously announced acquisition of IPNetZone Communications, a privately-held nationwide next generation network provider, based in New York City.
The combined companies will operate under the name of United Network Services, Inc. (UNSi) and will continue to be led by Francis D. John as President & CEO, with founders of IPNetZone, Allan Schwartz and James Karimi, as an integral addition to the executive management team of UNSi. The combined companies, with the addition of its own 16-Node MPLS/VPLS and Carrier Ethernet network and collaborative managed networking services, enhance UNSi’s position serving both the Enterprise and Carrier markets. The completed acquisition strengthens its core services of providing intelligent connectivity solutions for companies with multiple locations, monitoring and securing critical network infrastructures and consolidating telecom billing platforms.
With the completion of the merger, Francis John stated “UNSi becomes a leading single source vendor for telecom services providing one bill, one contract, one contact and one single set of SLA’s for a variety of telecom services for both enterprises and channel partners. The acquisition agreement between UNSi and IPNetZone Communications was officially approved by its respected shareholders and supported by its senior lender, Dollar Bank, which is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
