UPM Raflatac Announces Secure NFC RFID Tag

(UPM Raflatac, Tampere, 12 February 2009) - UPM Raflatac is introducing a new RaceTrack NFC RFID product with outstanding global performance and security features. The ISO 14443A compliant product has been enhanced with NXP's Mifare UL C integrated circuit.

The RaceTrack NFC product offers a 1536-bit programmable read-only memory which is electronically erasable (EEPROM), 3DES authentication and cloning protection. These new features make the RaceTrack NFC tag an excellent choice for various NFC and ticketing applications. RaceTrack NFC is also compatible in applications using tags with earlier generation versions of NXP's Mifare integrated circuits.
