Full Throttle Saloon, the world’s largest biker bar, installed a video surveillance system to prevent theft and promote safety at the famous Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Michael Ballard’s Full Throttle Saloon, also known as the world’s largest biker bar, is located in Sturgis, SD, and home of the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is an overwhelmingly popular event, so much so that the event has solidified its own reality television show, Full Throttle Saloon, that airs on the Tru Network. Roughly 700,000 bikers descend upon Sturgis for the annual rally week, which takes place the first full week of August. The task of managing the Saloon with more than 300 on-site staff, millions of dollars in cash, parking lots, and buildings, as well as providing critical information to law enforcement becomes increasingly difficult as the 71-yearold Sturgis Rally continues to grow in popularity. To prevent fraud and ensure safety at the event, Ballard needed to implement a video surveillance system that would meet Full Throttle Saloon’s loss prevention needs.
