Von Maur Inc. Purchases Hardware, Software, and Programming Services From

Holland, MI) - Von Maur Inc., headquartered in Davenport, IA, recently signed a contract to purchase hourly services and IBM software and hardware from Integrated Systems Development (ISD). The family-owned and operated company opened the first store in 1872, and today the chain includes 18 upscale department stores in six states in the Midwest, while employing nearly 2,500 people. Von Maur will enhance their Point-Of-Sale by adding IBM POS SurePos 700 series terminals, IBM thermal printers, and IBM flat screen touch displays running IBM SureVision software in all their stores. ISD will provide IBM AS/400 iSeries custom programming services by providing TCP/IP host and network settings, routes, etc and necessary training in converting 3270 applications to utilize a web browser/CGI to deploy screens to the ICE browser. Von Maur currently has ISD's tender authorization package, and ISD will upgrade that software to the latest Message Server 400 package. ISD will provide store systems custom programming by assisting in upgrading Von Maur's POS operating system, upgrading GSA, and installing and configuring the SureVision touch application. Von Maur will also benefit from ISD's complementary services, in addition to the IBM software and hardware ISD offers.
