Wincor Nixdorf Installs 600,000th BEETLE POS System

The BEETLE ushered in a new era in open POS systems when the first model was introduced in 1992. With the advent of the BEETLE, PC technology replaced proprietary environments as the new standard for POS systems. The very name of the product indicated the BEETLE's design goals: it had to be small and reliable, easy and secure to operate, economical to run, and simple to maintain.
