New Year, More Urgency For Omni-Channel

As holiday madness winds down next month, you’ll get your first chance to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and ask yourself the same question countless of your peers will be asking themselves: Now, where were we?
Let me help jog your memory. A couple of months ago, on the leading edge of Q4 2014 holiday madness, the mobile wallet stakes were raised when Apple threw down the gauntlet with its Apple Pay mobile wallet app. The company spent the following three days racking up more subscribers than those enjoyed by all of its competitors combined. That success prompted a lot of speculation about the future of the mega-retailer-funded MCX (Merchant Customer Exchange) mobile wallet initiative CurrentC, which after years of development and pilot testing will finally (allegedly) be ready for general launch sometime this year.
